Why Would My Parents Care but Not Nurture Me When I Was a Child?

Question by Jack Downs 0421: Why would my parents care but not nurture me when I was a child?
I beg of you not to judge me on how they raised me. I don’t like it anymore than you do.

Please don’t recommend me joining the military or me giving into the male masculinity. It’s very insulting and not sure if I belong in that group.

“A person who tells me to join the Military based on my situation is like saying I don’t even have the basic qualities to function as a normal person in society.” < It's very insulting but I will never retaliate back. I have been attacked physically and mentally but I never retaliated back. Never. As a child I was taken out to shops and so on, just me and my mum when I was around 5 to 8 years old and where I was her favourite. It all changed when my 4th brother was born and now my mum didn't see me as a favourite or just forgot about me who was emotionally attached to her from a very young age. I'm not asking for anyone to nurture me, no. I will leave my life as it is and would only let my girlfriend change my life she see's fit provided it does not involve breaking the law or doing drugs. I don't like to think for myself but at the same time not even sure which one of these categories I belong to (Feminism or Masculinity) I don't mean to cause any offence when I mentioned those categories. I understand there may be a negative connotation attached to 1 or more of the categories. I'm just different from everyone else on my age of 21. The other people including my 4th brother all have unique personalities, good looks and bright futures. I try to blend in but just seem to be a big fish in a school of smaller fish and not much people would want to talk to me, let alone even look at me. Why have they done this to me? I'm not like my oldest brother who was raised with no nurturing. He has been in trouble with the police a number of times and is now serving a >>>Felony Charge<<<. I never have been in trouble with the police, though sometimes I feel like I'm nothing but a scum to society. I just hope you don't perceive me that way. I do like learning and Information Technology is just one of my favourite subjects. Just please don't judge me on how they raised me. I don't like it any more than you do. I was the 3rd born child who became 2nd when my brother's brother died even before I was born. Best answer:
