The Question Is What Exactly Does an Immigrant Look Like?

Question by La Raza: The question is what exactly does an immigrant look like?
Are they fat or skinny? Do they have long beards, or do they speak with an accent?

You can’t just look at someone and assume that they are immigrants. Mexicans will be the main target because that is the largest minority population in Arizona.

Republican Gov. Jan Brewer argues that racial profiling is illegal in Arizona, and officers will be specially trained so they can implement the law without engaging in racial profiling.

But if police officers are told to keep a close eye on a certain race, that’s what they’re going to do.

Supporters of this bill imply that immigrants are bad people who don’t deserve an opportunity to succeed in America.

One could argue that immigrants are the backbone of this country, with all the hard work, and manual labor they put in, for very little pay.

It is not realistic for immigrants to carry paperwork at all times. If they are with family, they will not be thinking about proving they are legal.

This is not the first incident in which Arizona has discriminated against minorities.

They were one of the last states to create a holiday for the slain leader Martin Luther King Jr.

With so much diversity at FC, I couldn’t fathom a law like this being implemented in California.

There may be students here on campus whose parents are immigrants, but because of the sacrifice they made, those students are now able to attend college and become successful.

That’s what America is all about; equal opportunity. With this new law, not only is Gov. Brewer being biased against minorities, but she’s also hindering the youth from furthering their education, and becoming model citizens in America.

Immigrants come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Most are well educated, and law abiding

Illegal aliens are 75% Mexican, and 90% latino. Most speak very little English, so yes there would be a language barrier. Generally, if you see a group of 8 people comming out of a Honda Civic speeding north from the Border, you might have some illegal aliens. If you see a group hanging out on a curb outside home depot, you might have illegal aliens. If you see a group of 15 comming out of a darked out van going into a darked out house with bars on the window that looks like no one lives there, you probally have illegal aliens. If you pull someone over at a routine traffic stop and they have no identification that you would expect of any legal foreign national or me for that matter, and he gives you a name which has no record of ever having a license and a Mexican Consular card, you have the right to further investigate. You might have an illegal alien.

There you go.
